<Headphone Settings>
Step 1. Double-click the speaker icon on the taskbar to open the Volume Control window.

* If the Volume icon is not displayed in the notification area, you can enable the display of it by following these steps:
¡@1. Click Start , and then click Control Panel .
¡@2. Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices.
¡@3. Click Show volume control on the taskbar.
¡@4. Click OK.
Step 2. Adjust the setting in the Volume Control window as below:
¡@1.Adjust the volume of the headphone by dragging the sliders of Volume and Wave to suitable positions.
¡@2.To avoid hearing your own voice from the earphone, mute microphone volume by selecting the Mute check box.

Step 1. Double-click the speaker icon on the taskbar to open the Volume Control window.

Step 2. Click Options and then click Properties .

Step 3. Adjust the settings follow these instructions:
¡@1. In the column of Adjust volume for , choose Recording .

Q1. Why can't I hear the voice of the instructor or the presenter after I access to the program? |

Please follow the instructions to solve this problem:
Step 1. Make sure the program has been broadcasted or the attendees will not be able to hear the voice.
Step 2. If the program has been broadcasted and you are still unable to hear the voice, please check if your headset is
¡@¡@¡@ plugged in correctly. For instructions of headphone settings, please refer to ¡§ II. PC & Peripherals: Q3. How to
¡@¡@¡@ adjust my headphone and microphone settings? ¡¨
Step 3. If your headset is set properly, click the configuration icon ( ) on the top-right corner after accessing to the
¡@¡@¡@ program to check if your audio device is set correctly.
Step 4. If the audio device is set correctly and you are still unable to hear the voice, please close the program and launch it
¡@¡@¡@ again.

Step 1. Make sure the microphone is plugged into the correct jacks.
Step 2. Make sure the volume control of the microphone is adjusted to a suitable position.
Step 3. Re-set the microphone settings by referring to ¡§ I I. PC & Peripherals: Q3. How to adjust my headphone and
¡@¡@¡@ microphone settings? ¡¨
Step 4. Use the build-in recording program of Microsoft Windows to check if your microphone can work properly.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
Use the microphone to record and check if the sound wave changes on the display.
If the sound wave does not change, it means that your microphone is plugged incorrectly or it cannot work properly.
Step 5. If your microphone is set properly, click the configuration icon ( ) on the top-right corner after accessing to
¡@¡@¡@ the program to check if your audio device is set correctly.
Step 6. If the audio device is set correctly and you are still unable to convey your voice, please close the program and
¡@¡@¡@ launch it again.

Q3. Why can't I see the video image of the instructor or the presenter? |

Step 1. Make sure if the program has been broadcasted.
Step 2. Make sure if the instructor or the presenter has turned on the webcam.
Step 3. If the instructor or the presenter has started broadcasting, please check the image status you received.
If the video image displays blank, it means the instructor or the presenter does not use a webcam.
If the video image is frozen, it means the Internet is congested.

If the video image is black, it means the Internet is too congested to deliver the image.

Q4. I have installed a webcam, but am unable to deliver the image. |

Step 1. Please check if you have installed the webcam driver and make sure the webcam is connected to the computer properly.
Step 2. Download the ¡§AMcap¡¨ ( http://203.75.206.126/tools/AMcap.exe ) software to test if you can see the image.
Step 3. If you can see your own image from AMcap but the image is unable to be delivered in the program, click the
¡@¡@¡@
configuration icon ( ) on the top-right corner after accessing to the program to check if your video device is
¡@¡@¡@ set correctly.

Q5. There is an echo problem during group discussion. |
| |
A headset is recommended to avoid echo issues. If you are using a headset but the echo problem persists, there is a crosstalk problem of your sound card. It is suggested changing a new sound card or using a speakerphone with echo cancellation function.
Find out who causes the echo problem. => If the echo problem only happens in a certain group, it means someone in this group causes it.
Step 1. Mute each user ' s microphone by turns to verity if there is still an echo problem. If not, it is the one who mute
¡@¡@¡@ causes the problem.
Step 2. If the echo problem still happens after testing with everyone in the group, the presenter can cancel the participant's
¡@¡@¡@ call one by one to see if the echo disappears. If the echo disappears, it is the one who left causes this problem. |

Q6. The video image is not synchronized with the voice when the program is in process. |

It happens because of the Internet status or the performance of the computer. You can re-launch the program to see if it is improved. If not, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). |

Q1. The live program of Broadcast Station cannot be broadcasted? |

The reasons may be as follows:
1. Make sure your Windows Media Player version is 9.0 or above.
(Remark: Please do not upgrade to Windows Media Player 11 beta version or it will conflict with the system and cause the problem.)
2. If the program setting is set to deliver video image but the presenter does not install a webcam, the live program cannot be broadcasted. |

On-Demand Programs

Q1. The error message of ¡§ Failed to open media file. ¡¨ appears when launching the on-demand program. |

To solve this problem, please follow these instructions:
Step 1. Use this link ( http://210.61.53.111:443/record/kiss.asf ) to test if your computer can play the media file.
If you can play this media file but are unable to launch the on-demand program, it may be because the file does not exit. Please contact our customer service at:

If you cannot play this media file, it means your Windows Media Player does not support mms streaming protocols. Please follow the instructions below.
Step 2. Open the Windows Media Player. Click Tools and then click Options .

Step 3. Click Network tab and make sure the check boxes of Multicast , UDP , TCP and HTTP in Streaming protocols are selected and then click OK.
After completing the settings, please play the on-demand program again. If the problem still happens, please follow the instructions below.
Step 4. Please delete the folder named Media Player under ¡§C:\Documents and Settings\%localuser%\Local Settings \
¡@¡@¡@ Application Data\Microsoft¡¨.
Step 5. Launch Windows Media Player again and un-check all the check boxes in Streaming protocols and then click OK
¡@¡@¡@ . Close Windows Media Player.
Step 6. Launch Windows Media Player again. Select the check boxes of Multicast , UDP , TCP and HTTP in Streaming
¡@¡@¡@ protocols and then click OK . After completing the settings, you should be able to play the on-demand program. |
